Frequently Asked Questions
Who, what, when, why,
My name is Lano
M. Tondu. I created this website in July of 1998.
I had been selling invitations for Sunset Thermographers for
about a year prior to this to compliment my DJ business. I wanted
to quit my "real" full time job (not the DJ business
though, I still love to do that!) and stay home with my kids.
I run this business from my home and the invitations are printed
in Manitoba, Canada. As this is now my main occupation,
you can believe that service and customer satisfaction
are my #1 goals. Call me or e-mail me if you don't believe it! Check out
some of the testimonials! I believe that you benefit from
knowing exactly whom your dealing with. Not everyone would
put the above information in their FAQ!!!

Do You have a
I'm sorry, but there are none available.
I am a dealer for Sunset Thermographers, the largest invitation
wholesale company in Canada. They supply each dealer with a large
4" binder of sample invitations (you may have seen similar
ones at bridal shops etc.) to show their customers. I have scanned
in all of the invitations and placed them on the web site.
If you have any questions about any particular
invitation or product, please let me know and I will do my best
to answer them!
What is the fastest
I can get my order?
Normal delivery within Canada is 5/7
business days. We can speed that up to 2 / 3 days if you
pay for the Air shipping. U.S. orders are printed and delivered
in 8/9 business days. If you need them faster, you can pay for
express or expedited shipping and have your invitations in as
little as 4/5 business days. I only charge my actual cost for
the faster shipping. The cost will be quoted for you and it depends
on the size of the order and the speed you need!
are the invitations printed?
The invitations are printed using Thermography.
Thermography is the printing process that produces a "raised"
print. The paper is not altered in the printing process
if my Invitations have a mistake on them?
Your Invitations will be replaced free
of charge if a mistake is made by the printer, or if a mistake
is made by me when placing the order. I do my best to check all
orders for errors before I ship them to the USA. Canadian orders
are drop shipped from the printing plant.
Can I choose my own
verses are suggestions only. You can write anything
you want. I would like to suggest that you keep it to about
15 lines though, otherwise the type size gets smaller to fit
the invitations. The more lines, the smaller the type.
I like an invitation
I've seen on your site. Can I get it in a different color?
The invitations only come as you see
them. If there is a verse and names on the front, that
usually indicates that "front copy" was used.
This can always be changed. There is no way to change the
accent or paper colors unless there are additional invitations
listed in the description.

How do I pay for my
I accept Visa, M/C and Discover. You
can also pay by money order, certified check or PayPal. There
is no where on this site that I ask you for your credit card
information. After I receive your order and check it out. I will
email it back to you for a final confirmation. After you send
that confirmation. I will CALL you for your payment information.
I don't want
to give out my credit card over the internet!
I understand. This is not a
secure site. I suggest that you never send your credit card
# from the order form or by e-mail. Instead, after we have
finalized your order, I will call you and ask you for your credit
/ Don't sell my address/phone #/email to anyone!
I don't like getting spam and I suspect that you don't either.
Any information submitted to me, stays with me. It may be common
practice to sell information gathered from a site, but I have
never subscribed to that notion. I have never sent a bulk emailing
or considered such a campaign. I will however, follow any lead
that someone might give me, but it would read "So and So
mentioned that you might be interested in my services!".

Can I still
order if I don't live in North America?
I have shipped from Hong Kong to Guam and Ireland to Saudi
Arabia. The only obstacle is the freight cost associated with
inter-continental shipping. Drop me a line to find out what your
costs might be! Shipping by mail is not to expensive if you have
the time :-)
print non english wordings?
YES! English characters languages like Spanish are quite simple
to do. Accents can be added to the letters where you want them..
Non english language are a little bit trickier but can still
be done. You will have to do all of the typesetting and submit
the wording as an image file. (You lay out the invitation and
save it as a jpeg, tiff or eps. You can also scan it. e-mail
me here or call me for more info!) It will the be printed
as it appears. In either case, all proof-reading / spelling checks
will be up to the sender. I have printed invitations this way
in Chinese, Latvian, Hebrew, Estonian, Arabic, Ukrainian, Russian
on one invitation
The best way to put two languages on one invitation, is to
pick an invitation that has three panels. You names go on the
front panel. One language can go on the second panel and the
other language on the last panel.
Mailing your invitations
Please check these links for more information. Take one completed
invitation to the post office to determine correct postage before
stamping and mailing all of them!
